San Francisco the Friday night skate

San Francisco, CA, USA

The “Original” Friday Night Skate was started in 1989 after the 7.1 magnitude Loma Prieta Earthquake. We skate for 12 miles “every” Friday Night around San Francisco, up and down hills, with/without cars for FUN!!! All it takes is a pair of Skates, a LOT of Sweat and a SMILE wink emoticon
We meet at the Ferry Building in San Francisco, under the clock tower at ~ 8:45pm and leave at ~ 9:00pm. It takes about 3 hours and we return to the Ferry Building around midnight. People skate at different speeds, but we generally go about 1 mile, stop to let everyone catch up and continue for THREE HOURS! WOOOHOOO!!!

I had a great time in San Francisco with fun down hills, awesome DJ/music and very nice skaters! You should definitely check out if you haven’t done it yet 🙂
